Qualifications
(a) UTME requirements - Five (5) credit
passes in SSC examination GCE O/L or equivalent obtained at only one sitting,
including English Language, Literature in-English, Government/History,
Religious Studies etc.
(b) Direct Entry (D/E) Requirements
Five (5) credit passes in SSC
examination, GCE O/L or equivalent obtained at only one (1) sitting including English Language,
Literature-in-English and obtained passes at the GCE 'A' Level or equivalent in
English Language-Literature-in-English.

UTME requirements
Five (5) credit passes in SSC
examination GCE O/L or equivalent obtained at only one sitting, including
English Language, and any other one (1) Arts subject and at least at least 200 score in the UTME.
Direct Entry
(D/E) Requirements
Five (2) passes in 'A'/Level Subjects
in Arts to include French. The
Department accept N.C.E. Merit in French and one other Arts subject with credit
passes in 5 (five) O/L subject including English Language.

UTME Requirements
Requirement for the admission to the
B.A. (Hons) Linguistics, B.A. (Combined Hons) Linguistics/English, and Linguistics/French
include at least five (5) credit passes in SSC examination, GCE O/L or
equivalent obtained at only one sitting credit passes which must include at one
Arts subjects.
Requirement for the admission to the
B.A. (Hons) Yoruba or B.A. (Combined Hons) Linguistics/Yoruba, must include at
least five (5) credit passes in SSC examination, GCE O/L or equivalent obtained
at only one sitting which must include Yoruba and two other Arts subjects.

(D/E) Requirements: Diploma in
Religious Studies/Islamic Studies in additions to the O/L requirements of the
University.

is required.

Two 'A' level passess in Chemistry and
one in Biology/Agric. Science, Economics, Physics, Geography, Mathematics.
OND/NCE (Upper Credit) in relevant areas.

UTME Requirements

SSCE/NECO/GCE 'O ' Level or its equivalent in NOT more than two sittings which
must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics and at least a pass in
Chemistry.

Level (Direct Entry)
Satisfactory grades at ' A'
Level of the GCE or its Equivalent in Mathematics and in Physics and or
Chemistry or any other Science subject may be considered for exemption from all
of the100 Level Courses in the programme.
B.Sc
Drgree Programme In Statisctics
100 Level students coming into 100 level
of the Statistics degree programme must have obtained :
Five ' O' Level credit passes
at the SSCE/NECO O level or its equivalent in not more than TWO sittings which must include :
English Languge, Mathematics ;
Physics and any other Two Science or Social Science subject, with at least a
pass in University.
In addition to this, the students must
have taken the use of English, Mathematics, Physics and any other one Science
or Social Science subject at the University Matriculation Examination (UME) OR
Must have passe the pre-degree
Science/Pre-degree Social Science of the University.
At least a B(60-69%) score in
Mathematics and Physics subjects and a C (50-59%) score in one Science and one
Social Science subjects, provided 1(a) is satisfied.
200 Level Students coming into 200 Level of the Statistics degree programme must
satisfy one of the following.
Passes in two 'A' leve subjects which
must include Mathematics and one Science or Social Science subject provided
1(a) is satisfied.
At lease Upper Credit pass in ND
Statistics, Eleactrical and Electronics Engiuneering, Computer Science or
Social Sciences. Provided 1(a) is
satisfied.

Five O level credit pass in not
more that TWO sittings, which must include English Language, Mathematics,
Physic, Chemisttry and one Science or Social Science subject.
UME subjects must include Mathematics

The following MAY be considered
Two A Level subject including
Mathematics, provided 1(a) is satisfied
NCE with at leaset credit pas in
Mathematics and any Science or Social Science subject, provided 1(a) is
stisfied.
At lleast Upper Credit pass in OND
Coputer Science, Statistics or Eleactronics/Electrical Engineering, provided 1(a)
is satisfied.

Adminisration
Applicants must
possess five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB examinations including
English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two relevant subjects
one of which must be a Social Science, Management or Commercial subject. Commerce may be accepted in lieu of Economics
for the B.Sc. Accounting and B.Sc Business Administration.

Economics
Five O/L credit
passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB examinations in Mathematics, Economics, English
Language and two other subjects one of which must be from the Social Sciences.

B.Sc.
Sociology
Five O/L credit
passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO /NABTEB examinations in English Language,
Mathematics and any other two Social Sciences subject chosen from the
Goveernment, Economics and Geography.
vi.
B.Sc.
Psychology
Five O/L credit
passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO /NABTEB examinations in English Language, Biology
and any other three subjects one of which must be a Social Science subject. At least, a pass in Mathematics is required.
vii.
B.Sc.
Geography and Planning Science
Five O/L credit
passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO /NABTEB examinations in Mathematics, English
Language, Geography and two other subjects one of which must be from the Social
Sciences.
viii. B.Sc. Political Science
Five O/L credit
passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO /NABTEB examinations Mathematics in English
Language, Government and any other Social Science Subject.
ix. B.A. History and
International Studies
Five
O/L credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO /NABTEB examinations in English Language,History/Government
and at least one other Arts subjects.
DIRECT
ENTRY ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants
must posses the O /L requirements as contained in i – ix for the intended
programme of study. In addition,
candidates must have
(a) National
Diploma with minimum of Upper Credit from a recognized institution or
(b) At
least two GCE A/L passes in relevant subject.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR BACHELOR'S DEGREES FOR
HND HOLDERS
Duration : 3 Years
Applicants must
posses the O/L admission requirements for the intended programme of study. In addition, candidates must posses at least
the Higher National Diploma with minimum of Upper Credit in relevant discipline
from a recognised institution.

NOTE :
(i)
The
O/L requirements for all courses are to be obtained at not more than two
sittings.
(ii)
All
programmes advertised run on PART-TIME basis i.e on weekends (Friday, Saturday
and sometimes Sunday)./Evening Programme (Monday-Thursday)
(iii)
All
duly completed applications must be submitted within six weeks from the date of
this publication
